When preparing kids for a day on the slopes, our ski and snowboard checklist covers nine essential items that are perfect for making the most of the winter adventure. First, we’ll make sure to pack a sturdy helmet for safety, followed by snow goggles to protect their eyes from glare and snow. Warm, moisture-wicking base layers are a must, keeping kids dry and comfortable throughout the day. A well-fitted ski or snowboard jacket will keep them warm, while waterproof gloves and mittens ensure their hands stay dry and toasty. We’ll also bring snow pants to protect from the cold and wet, along with thick, thermal socks to keep their feet warm and cozy. To complete the kit, we’ll pack a ski pass holder, a neck gaiter for added warmth, and a small backpack for snacks and other essentials. These items are not only crucial for winter sports but also commonly used in our daily Outdoor School programs, making it easy to get them geared up and ready for any outdoor adventure!
