ODSS accepts a wide range of kids’ outerwear for trade-in—including base layers, mid-layers, and outer layers—but not every item or brand will qualify. We also accept select adult gear. Check our reference price list for the categories we take and see the list of approved brands to guide your trade-in.

We’ve kept the process quick and simple. Just click the Start My Trade-In button above to head to our portal, where you’ll be guided through each step. During the process, you can request a prepaid mail-in label; the $7.95 cost will be deducted from your trade-in value.

Please use common sense when selecting items for trade-in—ask yourself, “Would I feel comfortable buying this used for my own child?”

ODSS cannot accept the following:

• Items outside our approved trade-in categories (see the reference price list here). These items cannot be returned.
  
• Unlaundered or soiled items.
  
• Damaged items that have not been repaired. We do accept outerwear with credible, functional repairs that restore the item’s use. If you’re unsure about the quality of a repair, it’s best not to submit it.

You’ll see your exact credit once ODSS receives your items and reviews them to ensure they meet the (Re)PLAY program terms and conditions. For estimated trade-in values, check our reference price list here.

Currently, ODSS can only accept trade-ins from within the 50 United States.

There are no program fees. However, ODSS will deduct a $7.95 shipping fee from the value of your credit when it is issued.

Use any sturdy, still-serviceable mailing bag or box you already have on hand. Choose packaging that fits your items well—too big and the label may not cover the cost (plus it increases the carbon footprint); too small and it may not hold up during shipping.

Tip: Reuse a sturdy bag or box that fits your gear just right—safe for shipping and better for the planet.

You can use your credit at ODSS exclusively and it will not expire. Your credit can be used towards any item that ODSS sells, including books and toys.

We’re a small but nimble team, and we do our best to process trade-ins as quickly as possible. Please allow a little patience as we review your items.
