The Monarch Mud Kitchen is perfect for all sorts of activities such as water play, sand play, all types of sensory play, outdoors and indoors, year round. Let your child’s imagination run wild by giving them pots and pans, some objects from nature, and scoops, and see what they create.
- Details: Each kitchen comes with a lower shelf, a back wall, tabletop, legs, 2 bins and their lids, and all hardware needed for assembly. The kitchen will ship 1-2 weeks from the ordering date.
- Dimensions: The kitchen is 38.5” long and 16 1/4" deep. The legs are 24” tall.
- About the Maker: The Monarch Studio has been building mud kitchens for over 4 years and have perfected the design. They are built with “L” shaped legs to provide extra support, there are no visible screws on the surfaces, and they are quick and easy to assemble.
- Age recommended: All ages love and benefit from sensory play, but if we had to put a recommended age, it would be from walking until pre-teen (1.5 to 12 years old)
- USA Made: Mud Kitchens are handmade in the USA by highly skilled Amish builders out of all natural, pine wood. We do not use pressure treated wood.
- Stain: Monarch Studios recommends adding weatherproof staining if you will keep it outside for extended amounts of time and want it to look new for years to come. Please check with your local hardware store to find out what stain is recommended for your climate. Stain will need to be maintained yearly and leaving it unstained will allow it to beautifully grey as it ages, just like a natural wood fence or deck. As the wood ages, it will slowly grey in areas that get the most sun/rain. Greying wood is not an indication that something is wrong with the kitchen or that it is no longer safe to play with. It is simply a change in color and the kitchen will remain as strong and sturdy as the day we built it for years to come.
- Assembly: Some assembly is required and we will send easy to follow instructions and all needed hardware. The only tool you need is a screw driver or screw gun. The table, lower shelf, and back wall are all completely assembled so all you have to do is attach them to the legs. Assembly takes about 10 minutes.
- Note: Mud kitchens are not to be climbed on or sat on. Always supervise children when playing with water and small objects.
