UPF 50+ (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) blocks 98% of the sun's harmful UV rays. Additionally, polyester is a hydrophobic fiber, meaning it does not absorb water into the fiber itself. Instead, the small spaces between the fibers trap fluid within the fabric. Combined with the shape of the polyester fiber, which facilitates fluid transport, this creates a wicking effect that helps the fabric dry quickly.
