Frequently Asked Questions

What age/size range is the jacket suitable for?
The Hopper fleece jacket is available in sizes from toddler to youth (e.g. 2T up through 10Y / EU sizes 92–140 cm) — check our size chart to match the jacket size to your child’s height.
What is the jacket made of and is it easy to care for?
The jacket is made of soft knit fleece — 100% (or mostly) polyester, including certified recycled fibers. It’s machine-washable; we recommend closing zippers and washing inside out with similar colours.
Is this jacket meant to be a standalone coat or part of a layering system?
The jacket is designed as a mid-layer: it works great under outerwear on cold days, but can also be worn on its own indoors or in milder weather.
Does it offer weather protection — wind or rain resistance?
The fleece itself is breathable and helps wick moisture away from the body. It does not function as a waterproof outer shell, so for rainy or very wet conditions you’ll want a waterproof outer layer on top. (Treat this as insulation rather than outerwear.)
What special features does the jacket have for comfort and practicality?
Features include a full-length zipper (makes dressing easy), a chin guard (to protect the neck/chin from zipper irritation), elastic-binding collar/cuffs/hem for a comfy fit, front pockets for small items or “forest finds,” and a longer back hem for added coverage.
Can this jacket be used year-round or only in winter?
While it’s ideal for cold weather as a mid-layer, the softness, breathability, and light-to-medium warmth mean it can also be used for cool spring/fall days, or indoors when extra warmth is needed.
