- Kit Details: This kit comes with a 6 colors of yarn, a yarn needle, a comb, a small loom, instructions and of course A BUNCH OF FUN! This kit is simple and rewarding.
- Ages: Suitable for ages 6+
- Loom: The loom measures 4.5" x 6.5". Our looms are printed on secondhand waste acrylic by Black Cat Labs.
- Materials: Images shown are just examples of what you might receive subject to availability. Please note our starter kits are made with secondhand materials and materials may vary.
- About: Every artist has tools of their trade— knitters have needles and yarn, painters have brushes and easels, stitchers have needles, thread, and fabric — and every artist will tell you the tools of their trade can be expensive, especially when you're just starting out. When you’re looking for a set of supplies to explore a new medium, figuring out what you actually need can be overwhelming and cost-prohibitive.
- About the Makers: Make & Mend was born out of a desire to change that narrative. Established in 2017 by Somerville artist Emily Tirella, Make & Mend is working to remove the financial barriers to creation by offering gently used art supplies at an accessible rate for seasoned artists and first-timers alike. Like any great work of art, our shop has moved through many forms. Make & Mend was once a brick and mortar space but in March 2020 we said good-bye to our tiny shop and we have now moved to a fully digital platform serving the makers of the Boston artist community and beyond!

ODSS was started by mothers who saw firsthand how time outside builds resilient, confident kids. What began as helping outdoor schools equip students for all-weather learning grew into a bigger mission: Help families raise resilient, confident kids by making it easier for children to stay outside longer.
